At Gold Dredge
No. 8, Gray Line of Alaska has
developed a variety of
experiences to offer you. A
short video with actual footage
of dredge in operation provides
an overview of the entire
stripping, thawing, and dredging
processes. Afterwards, you are
encouraged to wander through the
attraction's Bunk House, Bath
House and Dredgemaster's House
as well as the Supply Center to
view interpretive panels and
exhibits in order to learn more
about dredges, the daily life of
the dredge crews, and the
operations of the Fairbanks
Exploration Company. Next, you
are guided through the dredge
itself to view its equipment and
gain a better understanding of
its size. Finally, supplied with
an individual "poke" of dirt,
you learn first-hand how to pan
for gold and keep what you find!

Payment and Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to 20% of services reserved is due at the time of booking, with
the balance due 45 days prior to your first day of travel. The following change
and cancellation fees apply. Between 45 to 31 days prior to your first day of
travel a 20% cancel/change fee will apply. Between 30 to 16 days prior to your
first day of travel a 50% cancel/change fee will apply. Within 15 days of
travel, your package is non-refundable and non-changeable. Because we cannot
make exceptions to our cancellation or change policies for any reason, including
family and medical emergencies, we STRONGLY encourage you to purchase
travel insurance.
