Kenai Fjords National Park
Catamaran Cruise 11:30 AM
You'll
depart the Seward Small Boat on
the only Catamaran cruising
Kenai Fjords Nation al Park. This
state of the art 149 passenger
Catamaran will ensure a smooth
ride all way to Aialik Glacier,
a spectacular tidewater glacier
that is a must see on your trip
to Kenai Fjords National Park.
You'll travel approximately 120
miles round-trip all the while
viewing beautiful tidewater and
alpine glaciers and abundant
marine wildlife. Kenai Fjords
National Park is known for its
variety of marine wildlife
including many species of
whales, Orca's (Killer Whales),
porpoise, dolphin, Steller's sea
lions, harbor seals, sea otters
and many birds that call this
beautiful area home. The Park's
mountainous land is ideal for
spotting black bears and
mountain goats. During your tour
you'll receive a complimentary
Alaskan basket lunch which
consists of smoked salmon, cream
cheese, a bagel, fruit, chips
and a cookie. A non-fish
alternative is available. A
snack bar is also located on the
vessel where soft drinks,
coffee, tea and snacks can be
purchased. The Renown Tours
office is located on the
boardwalk at the Seward small
boat harbor next to the
Harbormaster building. Please
check-in 30 minutes in advance
of your departure. Check at your
hotel front desk for
transportation options to and
from the Small Boat Harbor.
What To Wear
Due to unpredictable Alaskan
weather, we advise dressing in
layers, which will allow you to
stay warm and dry as the outdoor
environment changes. Even on
warm summer days, temperatures
can be cool on the boat when it
is underway or stopped at a
glacier. A rain coat or rain
gear is recommended for
inclement weather.
