Transportation Options:Travel by Rail: Once you have arrived in the 49th state, the Alaska Railroad provides passenger service on a scenic 470-mile route - ranging as far south as Seward and as far north as Fairbanks. In addition to Alaska Railroad-owned cars, seating is available on private company cars offering large windows and dome cars that provide passengers an unrestricted view of the landscape, as well as the opportunity to see moose, Dall sheep, bear and other wildlife. Rail service between Anchorage and Fairbanks provides access to Mt. McKinley and Denali State Park. On the southern end of the rail corridor, you can connect with the state ferry system at Seward. Except for the Anchorage-Seward rail route, the Alaska railroad operates year round, with reduced services from September to May. Travel by Motor Coach Service: Service from Anchorage – Seward – Denali – Fairbanks – Talkeetna etc.
